Terms of enrolment

The contract between the student and the institute: fees, cancellation, conduct, liability.

1. Who you are contracting with

Northgate is an independent online training provider operated within the EU. Company and postal details are supplied in the enrolment confirmation and on request before enrolment. These terms are the whole agreement between the student and the institute.

2. Enrolment

A place is confirmed when the institute accepts the application in writing and the first instalment is received. The student confirms at that point that they have read the Academic status page and these terms.

3. Fees

Fees are quoted in euro and are payable in three instalments, the first on enrolment and the rest at the start of each term. Fees include tuition, materials and assessment. They do not include travel, equipment, or any local costs of site work.

4. Cancellation and refunds

Cancellation, the 14-day right of withdrawal and pro-rata refunds are governed by the Refunds policy, which forms part of these terms.

5. What the institute owes you

Teaching as described on the programme page, a named tutor, assessment within the published timescales, and written feedback on every assessed block. If a programme is materially changed or cancelled, the institute will offer a transfer or a refund of fees paid for teaching not delivered.

6. What you owe the institute

Work of your own, declared help, respectful conduct in live sessions, and payment of fees. Work submitted must not be the work of another person.

7. Intellectual property

Students own the work they produce. The institute may cite or exhibit it only with written permission. Course materials remain the institute's and are licensed to the student for personal study.

8. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death, personal injury or fraud, or any liability that cannot be limited by law. Otherwise the institute's liability is limited to the fees paid by the student for the programme concerned. The institute does not guarantee employment or earnings.

9. Law and complaints

These terms are governed by the law of Greece, without prejudice to consumer rights in the student's country of residence. Complaints follow the Complaints policy.
